The Seabrook Island Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. All Seabrook Island residents are welcome to join us. This event will give residents the opportunity to meet those of your neighbors who have been trained to assist our community in the event of natural or man-made disasters.
CERT members are trained in areas such as disaster preparedness, disaster medical operations, and light search and rescue operations. Also, several CERT members have completed HAM Radio instruction and obtained their radio licenses. Information will be available at the anniversary celebration for those who would like to learn more about CERT. If you have questions, please contact John Reynolds (JohnR99773@aol.com).
If you plan to attend the celebration on April 27, please RSVP to Cindy Willis (cwillissc@yahoo.com). Those attending are asked to bring a “heavy” hors d’oeuvre to share.
