Five seniors from St. Johns High School and Charleston Collegiate School were presented with scholarships by our local exchange chapter on Wednesday evening, May 18th.
These capable young adults were selected based on their academic performance throughout their high school careers and dedication to serving their schools and communities through volunteer activities.
Exchange members enjoyed conversing with these scholarship winners and their family members before and during dinner at The Seabrook Island Club. Following dinner, students shared their plans for university studies and career pursuits.
Alexus Dandridge and Christopher Johnson of SJHS and Claudia Soto and Elsie Cai of CC received $2500 scholarships. Paola Macias, K-S Exchange Club’s “Youth of the Year”, was awarded with a $5,000 scholarship.
Youth and Education Scholarships are made possible through the caring support of local businesses that advertise in the exchange chapter’s handbook.
