Speaker Series: Billy Baldwin & Robert Barber- Bowen’s Island Restaurant
On July 14th at 6PM the Charleston Library Society will host author Billy Baldwin and restaurant owner Robert Barber as they discuss the release of the book about Bowen’s Island Restaurant.
Bowen’s Island Restaurant is the delightfully quirky seafood staple of the Lowcountry. Located just 12 miles outside of Charleston, the eatery has transformed from hidden treasure to one of the most sought-out fish camps in the Southeast. Featuring extensive interviews, exclusive family recipes, and personal photographs, this book is the foremost recorded history of Bowen’s Island- where the customer is never right.
