Celebrate the sights and sounds of the Latin world with live Salsa and Merengue music, authentic food and crafts, and plenty of activities for families to enjoy at the Latin American Festival!

Date/Time:  October 2, 2016, 12-6 p.m.

Location:  North Charleston Wannamaker County Park
Admission:  Adults: $10; Student or Military ID: $5; Kids 12 & Under: Free; Gold Pass Members: Free

Festival Details
Food, beverages, and souvenirs will be available for purchase on-site.
ID is required to purchase alcohol.
Outside food, alcohol, and coolers are prohibited.
No dogs allowed at this event.

1-1:30 p.m. Buen Ache Dance Company
1:30-2 p.m. Capoeira Charleston
2-3 p.m. Bachata Flow
3:30-4:30 p.m. Salsa dance contest with DJ Luigi of Latin Groove Charleston
4:30-6 p.m. Orquesta K’Che

Education:  The Charleston County Public Library will be bringing Vamos Cantando with them! Learn to speak Spanish through the power of music, and sing along to a collection of original and fun songs by Roger Bellow and Berita Martin.

The library will also offer a display related to the Pura Belpre Award, highlighting award winning Latino/Latina authors and illustrators of children’s books.
