September Meeting of SIPOA Planning Committee

Chairman Kortvelesy provided updates of the Special Committee for Housing Improvements. That Committee met later in the day to discuss the data gathered including inspection of villas and ARC enforcement.

The Audubon Subcommittee will schedule community meetings in September, October, and November. An Audubon Representative will meet with the committee in November. Communications will be posted in Tidelines and The Seabrooker.

A new group is being formed, Communication Group, with a first assignment to work on a more detailed Emergency Preparedness plan for 2017. The Committee will interface with the Town of Seabrook Island.

The Finance Committee is working on the budget for 2017.
Chairman Kortvelesy distributed an updated version of the SIPOA Strategic Plan to the committee members. Minor updates were discussed. The finalized plan will be forwarded to the SIPOA Board after our October meeting. A retreat type of meeting with key members in 2017 was suggested in preparing the 2018 Strategic Plan.

In the 2017 Strategic Plan, there is an issue to pursue and evaluate upgraded communication relating to video, voice, and data technologies for property owners.

The PC normally meets the second Tuesday of each month in the Lake House. All property owners are welcome to attend. The next meeting will be on October 11, at 9am in the Osprey 1 room.

  1. The technology now exists to allow non-full time residents and other residents unable to attend in person to call in or join via web with these public meetings. What, if anything, is the POA and various committees with open-to-public formats doing to bring this technology to the residents, full and part-time, of Seabrook?
