The theatrical production of “The God Box, A Daughter’s Story,” inspired by the New York Times best-selling book, will be performed on Saturday, April 22, at 7:30 PM at Charleston Collegiate School. This one-hour, one-woman performance is based on a true story and is performed by the author, Mary Lou Quinlan. It is a powerful message about how mothers never stop loving their children, no matter what their age. Tickets are $75-$35 per person and include the performance, free parking and a dessert reception with author and solo performer, Mary Lou Quinlan, following the play.
The performance is presented by The Point, a women’s non-profit organization serving women in the community of Johns, James and Wadmalaw Islands. To date, this group of 35 women has donated more than $300,000 to groups that identify women with medical, emotional and financial challenges.
