Johns Island Farmers Market Starts Summer Hours on May 6

Starting this Saturday May 6th, the Johns Island Farmers Market will operate from 9am – 1pm through the summer so patrons and vendors can enjoy the cooler part of the day, and “Beet” the heat. The market is located at a new and improved location on the campus of Charleston Collegiate School, 2024 Academy Dr Johns Island 29455.

With over 50 local farmers, food artisans, and vendors every week, the market is a one-stop shop for all things local.

Summer at the market is kicking off with fresh fruits and vegetables, including the infamous Johns Island tomatoes!

The market features a game area complete with corn hole and ping pong, local live musicians, and a variety of food trucks every week. “We want this to be a place to enjoy every Saturday relaxing in the shade, shopping for and eating good food, listening to live music, and meeting new people” says founders Frasier Block & Blue Laughters.

Summer at the new location will be much more comfortable as there is ample free parking and lots of shaded areas. Stroll the vendor trail under the trees, and enjoy a meal under the oaks, large tents, or the newly constructed pavilion.
