The Kiawah-Seabrook Exchange Club was pleased to welcome Mayor John Tecklenburg as guest speaker on Wednesday evening, August 2, 2017 at the Seabrook Island Club.
Mayor Tecklenburg’s presentation focused on several critical issues facing Charleston including affordable housing, sea level rise, drainage and joint efforts by the Charleston Police Dept. and the College of Charleston addressing the rise in substance abuse. He provided updates on the completion of the Mark Clark Expressway and the widening of Maybank Highway and his thoughts on slowing down development on Johns Island.
Exchange members were pleased to have Mayor Tecklenburg, his wife Sandy and many island residents in attendance for this dinner program. Thoughtful insights and perspectives were shared along with much fun and fellowship.
