Lengthening the Fiber:
Hands-On Spinning of Wool
Date: October 15
Time: 10:15 am – 10:45 am and again at 2:00 pm
Spinning the wool into yarn was done before it could be turned into sheets of fabric by weaving it on a loom or knitting the wool into commonly used items, such as socks or scarfs. Under the tutelage of a costumed interpreter, guests will be taught how to spin the wool using a drop spindle.
