The Reverend DeMett E. Jenkins will share her stories and her experiences growing up a Gullah girl, including traditions, foods and spirituals passed down for generations. This event is co-sponsored by the Gullah Geechee Cultural Heritage Corridor Commission. The Corridor is a federal National Heritage Area and it was established by the U.S. Congress to recognize the unique culture and historic contributions of the Gullah Geechee people.
