Come celebrate Caribbean culture and heritage at the Charleston Carifest Caribbean Carnival.

There are five events held over four days starting with the educational component, a Symposium, and Opening Reception at the College of Charleston in North Charleston on Thursday, June 20. This is followed by three days of Fetes, with Friday, June 21, featuring an All White Fete (Fete en Blanc or Party in White). Saturday is Carnival Day with the big Carifest Carnival Street Parade and Festival in Brittle Bank Park. This colorful band of revelers will dance through the streets of Charleston to Brittle Bank Park. Join in the fun at the largest family-friendly event in honor of Caribbean American Heritage Month in South Carolina. Savor authentic Caribbean food, dance to reggae, soca and salsa music, delight in the sights and sounds of Caribbean music and pageantry. Meet and greet Peter Bailey, filmmaker, author, journalist, and Grand Marshall representing the Virgin Islands.

The last day is Sunday, June 23. The Carifest Musical Food Truck Brunch featuring Scrouge, the hottest soca artist from the VI, and introducing Lady Emanuel, a budding gospel artist. Savor Caribbean food and enjoy various genre of Caribbean music and shake your legs to DJs Swisha and Luigi.
