Support Hootieville Holiday Shop

AOE Hootieville Holiday Shop H Oct 2019

Angel Oak Elementary School (AOE) is holding the second annual Hootieville Holiday Shop the week of December 9 -13. AOE is a Title I school, meaning that many families are at or below the poverty line. The Holiday Shop gives students an opportunity to experience the joy of shopping for gifts for their loved ones. Also, the shopping experience of is integrated into the math and writing curriculum assignments for the week. The proceeds from the Hootieville Shop are used by the PTA to support teachers and students with educational programming throughout the year.

We are seeking donations of gently used and/or new items, small enough for students to carry home (household goods, neck ties, key chains, holiday decor, pet items, toys, etc.). Donations can be dropped off at The Ice Crème Shop at Bohicket Marina. These donations are tax deductible and donors will be given a receipt for in kind and/or monetary donations with a deadline date of December 1, 2019.

Additionally, monetary donations can be mailed to Angel Oak Elementary School ATTN: PTA 6134 Chisolm Road Johns Island SC 29455. Please indicate Holiday Shop in the memo field and recipients will be mailed a receipt. If you would like to sponsor an individual child’s shopping experience you may do so by sending a check to the above address of Angel Oak Elementary School and indicate Holiday Shop Children funds in the memo field. You will be mailed a receipt. The cost per child is approximately $10.00. For additional information contact Barbara Griffin griffib@clemson.edu and/ or Michele Faust mfausts@gmail.com
