Candidate for the SIPOA Nominating Committee –
Roni Berttucci
Having vacationed here for years, my husband Joe and I decided to leave the winters of Chicago and build our forever home on Seabrook Island in 2015. We have come to love this community and appreciate how lucky we are to live in paradise.
I have volunteered for several committees since making that move, and as a result am fortunate to have gotten to know many Seabrookers.
These include:
- SIPOA Activities Committee
- Seabrook Island Club Social Committee
- Newcomers Group
- Voter Registration efforts
- SCOPE50 Fundraisers
- SINHG Trip Leader
Over the few years that I have lived here I have had the opportunity to work with and get to know many outstanding people. And through my involvement with different committees I feel I have an understanding of how SIPOA and Seabrook Island operate. I feel that I can make a contribution by serving on the Nominating Committee, helping to recruit a diverse slate of candidates for the SIPOA Board.
Seabrook Island is a beautiful place to live, but it’s not just the natural beauty that makes it special. SIPOA’s vision and values and the residents’ willingness to volunteer their time and expertise to joyfully “make it uniquely yours” is the essence of our community. I believe it is everyone’s responsibility to give back, each in their own way. And if elected I will do my best for Seabrook.
