Local Changes and Cancellations Updated March 29

The following cancellations and changes due to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak have been reported to Tidelines:

New Harris Teeter Senior Shopping Hours: Starting March 30, Harris Teeter at Freshfields Village is offering new senior shopping hours for individuals 60 years and older every Monday and Thursday from 6 a.m. – 8 a.m. Senior discounts will only be applied on Thursday, as usual. Only send one member of your family or group into the store, and make every effort to stay 6 ft apart from other shoppers in aisles. Please try to reduce shopping trips to once a week. Customers who bring in their own reusable bags will have to bag their own groceries, so associates do not have to handle reusable bags.

-The Post and Computer Center hours have changed. As of March 30, they will be open Monday – Friday, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. They will be closed on Saturdays and Sundays.

-Charleston County is canceling the in-person Main Road Corridor: Segment A public information meeting scheduled for March 31 at St. John’s High School. The public information meeting will now take place as an online meeting, which will go live on the project website,  at 5 pm on March 31.

Freshfields Village announced that the Spring Concert on April 10, the Spring Festival on April 11, and the Easter Service On The Green on April 12 have all been canceled.

Spoleto Festival USA 2020 has been canceled.  They are committed to making the 2021 Festival, scheduled for May 28 – June 13, 2021, an even more wonderful way to celebrate life and the arts. For more information, click here.

Seabrook Island Club has announced the following:

  • The amenity office is closed to walk-ins. Utilize the drop-off and pick-up boxes at the Amenity Office for amenity cards. For amenity card questions, please contact us at amenityoffice@discoverseabrook.com.
  • The administrative office is closed to walk-ins. To drop off a member payment, please utilize the payment box located outside of the administrative office. For billing questions, contact us at memberbilling@discoverseabrook.com.

-Effective Monday, March 23, all operations at The Sanctuary will be temporarily closed with plans to reopen on April 6. The indoor and outdoor pools, as well as beach access at The Sanctuary, will be temporarily closed and The Sanctuary Spa is closed until further notice.

The Lake House is closed as of 8:00 pm Monday, March 16, and will remain closed through Tuesday, March 31. During the closure, all meetings, events, and activities are canceled and there is no after-hours access.

Gaillard Center reported that large gatherings in the performance hall are restricted through May 11. For more information, click here.

The Charleston Museum and its Historic Houses will be closed March 18 through March 31.

-The remaining 2019-2020 Kiawah Arts & Cultural Events season that ends in June has been officially canceled.

-All SINHG Trips through April 15 have been canceled, as well as the April Evening Program.

-The Town of Seabrook Island has canceled the shredding event scheduled for Friday, April 24.

-Event to Celebrate Charleston’s 350th Anniversary with K-S Exchange scheduled for April 1 is canceled.
