A Day at the Museum
Museo Nacional de Anthropologia, Mexico
Built in 1964, this museum is dedicated to the archaeology and history of Mexico’s pre-Hispanic heritage. There are 23 exhibit rooms filled with ancient artifacts, including some from the Mayan civilization. It contains the world’s largest collection of ancient Mexican art and also has ethnographic exhibits about Mexico’s present-day indigenous groups.

– Recreation of Pakal’s tomb in Maya exhibit room
– Jade mask of the Zapotec Bat God in Oaxaca exhibit room
