“Fighting Island Hunger With Healthy Food and Clean Water One Meal At A Time”
I hope you’re all staying safe and well, and that you enjoyed a memorable and meaningful 4th of July, albeit a quieter one this year, with family and friends.
This is a heartfelt thank you for your support of the Sea Islands Hunger Awareness Foundation, and specifically our recent Online Auction. I am delighted to report that your generous support of the auction cleared $12,629.
I am also excited to report that funding is available to all our partners and programs thanks to the generosity and support of our Johns, Kiawah, and Seabrook Island neighbors. We even have enough funding to support a new partner that is being formed at New Webster Johns Island Parrish on Wadmalaw. This food pantry was started in response to the coronavirus and has been serving 200 low income families a month since April. Funding has been provided by the Kiawah Seabrook Exchange Club and will continue through August. Then their main funding will come from SIHAF because of you and your generous hearts.
Please know how appreciative all the families are for this help during a most difficult time, and beyond. And please know how much we appreciate your continued support of the foundation, and your sea island neighbors.
