CJO Season 12: Mi Alma Latina Featuring Nestor Torres November 20

Latin Grammy award winning jazz flautist Nestor Torres will join Charleston Jazz Orchestra for an evening comprising the lively rhythms and spicy spirit of Latin America. With his Caribbean heritage and classical training, Nestor Torres provides a unique rhythmic and melodic approach to jazz, one that explores diverse national traditions and bridges musical borders, embodying the essence of Mi Alma Latina: My Latin Soul! Master Percussionist Gino Castillo will be joining the CJO and Nestor Torres for this performance.

Virtual Performance: Saturday, November 28, 2020 at 7:30 pm will be the premier and the performance will be available On Demand thereafter.

Live at Firefly: Friday, November 20 at 6:00 pm (Doors at 5:00 pm)

A limited number of tickets are available for Mi Alma Latina Live at Firefly. You must have a previously purchased ticket for the Mi Alma Latina performance originally scheduled for March 14, 2020 at the Charleston Music Hall for entry. Ticket purchase includes access to the virtual performance which is available for all ticket holders for the rest of the year.

Tidelines Editors

All attendees at Firefly will be required to:

  • Bring your own chair/blanket
  • Wear a mask while moving around Firefly grounds
  • Sit at least 6 feet from each other (besides members from the same household)
  • No outside food or drink permitted
  • Recommended – We will have bug spray and hand sanitizer but it is recommended you bring some of your own.

Please note, this concert will only be performed once at 6:00 pm (whether you have tickets to our usual 5:00 pm or 8:00 pm show, your ticket will give you access to the 6:00pm show). Doors open at 5:00 pm and the show starts at 6:00 pm.

Food truck snacks, Firefly cocktails and other beverages will be available for sale.
