January 19, 2021, at The Lake House
1:00 pm
Stephanie Marzella, who was originally scheduled to be the demo artist for March 2020, has agreed to be the demo artist for the January 19, 2021, meeting. This meeting will be held outdoors behind The Lake House. Please bring a chair and dress for the weather. Non-members are welcome to attend and join the guild. The 2021 membership annual dues is $30. There will not be a meeting in December.
Stephanie Marzella has been a painter of landscape and still-life since receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the Cleveland Institute of Art in 1984. She was born and raised outside of Cleveland, OH. Soon after receiving her BFA, she moved to Rhode Island. Upon moving to the “Ocean State,” she began to focus solely on landscape and quiet water.
In 2016, Stephanie relocated to the thriving arts community of Charleston, SC, where she now resides on Johns Island. The driving forces behind Stephanie’s work are her love of nature and interpretive use of color. Her inspiration comes from living on a tidal cove off Narragansett Bay. By creating mood and atmosphere in her paintings her hope is to awaken these emotions in the hearts and minds of the viewer. Stephanie paints in oils but has enjoyed many different media including pastels and acrylics.
Stephanie has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions around the country and won many awards. She is a member of Oil Painters of America, American Women Artists, The American Impressionist Society, The Salmagundi Club, and the Plein Air Painters of the Southeast.
