The PGA of America recently announced spectator attendance for the 2021 PGA Championship will be limited to 10,000 spectators per day. The tournament is scheduled to be played on Kiawah’s famed Ocean Course May 17-23, 2021.
What does this mean for current ticket holders of the sold-out event? The PGA will alert ticket holders no later than Wednesday, March 10, of their attendance status. Ticket holders not selected will be notified and issued a refund.
Attendance status will be based on a combination of factors, including the purchaser’s original registration group, time of purchase, and daily inventory available. It is expected that Registration Groups C – L will not be able to retain their attendance status and will be issued a refund.
Voluntary refund requests must be received by March 5, 2021. Refund requests will disqualify the ticket holder from any opportunity to retain the original ticket order.
Any ticket holder who purchased tickets from a secondary market platform should contact that site directly for information on ticket status and refund policies. The PGA of America will be unable to process refunds for any tickets purchased from a secondary market platform.
