There are many people moving in and out of Seabrook Island and that means furniture that doesn’t fit the new location or household items that aren’t needed any more.
Before you put unused furniture or other items on the curb for Brown and White Pick-up, consider donating it to Habitat for Humanity – and getting a tax deduction at the same time! Are you remodeling? Habitat offers free deconstruction services that can save you time and money for your remodeling projects. Again, these donated items are tax deductible.
Sea Island Habitat for Humanity Restore at 3304 Maybank Highway is the place to donate the following:
- furniture: living, dining, bedroom and office
- appliances and electronics: clean and in working condition
- housewares: dishes, pots, pans, utensils, paintings, lamps, books, mirrors, etc.
- building materials: kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, doors, tile, etc.
- vehicles and boats.
You can drop items off or they will come and pick up these treasures. Contact the store at 843-559-4009 to arrange a convenient time.
The Habitat for Humanity ReStore has all these donated items for sale and is the “must go to” place for redecorating. Their website includes an update on what is new for sale in their store on Maybank Highway.
