An Exhibit of Rural America Artwork
Some folks call it Fly-Over Country. Others call it Middle America. The patchwork of American farmed land and the farmers that produce our food is often taken for granted. Brenda Tilson captures the beauty of the land and the lifestyles of the farmers in her paintings.
Brenda earned her degrees from Fairmont State College in 1968 and another degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Design, Architecture and Art in 1973.
Through design work in the field of architecture, Brenda brought other people’s vision to reality. All the drafting, scaled drawing, and blueprints engrained the elements of art and brought out the creativity of the soul.
Now that Brenda has moved to Seabrook Island, she has the time and the environment to allow her creativity to be expressed without the boundaries of client expectations.
A reception of Brenda’s paintings depicting the rural life of America will be held on February 1, 2022, 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm at The Lake House. Come by and experience our culture’s collective past through paint.
