SINHG Offers Virtual Evening Program

Historian and author Harlan Greene will explore “The Jews In South Carolina” on Thursday, February 10, at 7:00 pm as part of the SINHG (Seabrook Island Natural History Group) spring schedule of Evening Programs. The presentation will be offered virtually as a webinar.

Jews were among the first settlers of colonial Charles Towne in the mid 17-century and played an active role in the colony’s growth into a major trading center, building the colony’s first synagogue in the mid eighteenth century.

Harlan Greene is the chief archivist at the College of Charleston and has written extensively about the cultural and social history of the Charleston.

Registration for the webinar is available at sinhg.org/events-page.
