The Magic Flute February 25 and 27

Die Zauberflöte (The Magic Flute) is one of Mozart’s most celebrated operas, a journey exploring truth and reason, triumph over deceit, enlightenment, and love. Performances will take place at the Sottile Theatre (44 George St.) on February 25 at 7:30 pm and February 27 at 2:00 pm.

The production is a collaboration among the College of Charleston’s (CofC) Department of Music and Department of Theatre and Dance, as well as the Charleston Symphony with Yuriy Bekker on the podium. The performance will be sung in German with English dialogue and supertitles.

Tickets range from $15 to $50, with discounts for seniors (60+), military/veterans, and youth under 18, CofC students, faculty and staff. Tickets can be purchased through the George Street Box Office online, by emailing gsbo@cofc.edu, calling (843) 953-4726 or in person.
