The Kiawah-Seabrook Exchange Club is pleased to announce that the honoree for the 10th Angel Oak Award is Charlotte Moran.
Charlotte is a Seabrook Island resident and she will be recognized at a banquet on May 18, 2022, at Wingate Place, 3850 River Road, Johns Island. She will also receive an honorarium of $5,000, which she can designate for assignment to a charitable organization serving the islands. In addition, Charlotte will receive a memento and have her name inscribed on the Angel Oak Trophy, which is permanently displayed on the islands.
The Angel Oak Award was first presented in 2012 and recognizes a person who performs volunteer services that contribute significantly to the people and/or quality of life of Wadmalaw, Johns, Kiawah, and/or Seabrook Island. The award is named after a historic tree on Johns Island that clearly represents the people, culture, and natural environment of the islands.
Congratulations, Charlotte, and thank you for all that you do for everyone on the islands.
