On Monday, October 31, 2022, Mr. Laurence (Larry) Buchman of Kings Pine Drive was sworn in as the newest Seabrook Island Utility Commissioner. Mr. Buchman replaces Commissioner Lee Vancini who is no longer a resident of Seabrook Island.
The swearing in was officiated by Mayor John Gregg. Present at the ceremony was Larry’s wife, Kathleen Buchman, Jim Ferland, SIUC Commissioner, and Katherine Watkins, Seabrook Island Town Clerk/Treasurer.
Mr. Buchman will bring many skills to the Utility Commission including construction management and oversight, strong financial expertise, and knowledge of the workings of Seabrook Island. We welcome Mr. Buchman to the Utility Team!
