On April 17, members of the Board of the Berkeley, Charleston, Dorchester Council of Governments were favored with a presentation by a representative of “Get Connected SC” an initiative of the Regulatory Staff of the State Department of Administration . The Initiative is directed to bringing reliable, high-speed internet to every South Carolinian. Current efforts are focused on identifying areas of greatest need. In support of that focus, a survey is available here.
While residents of our community enjoy choices for internet service, there remain benefits for the Initiative to having broad participation in the survey. With that in mind, our residents are encouraged to take the survey–an immediate benefit for those who do is a “speed test” of the participant’s internet connection.
