Independence Day Seabrook Style

Once again Seabrook Island celebrated the 4th of July with a wide variety of activities!

On Monday, July 3, hundreds gathered on the driving range of Seabrook Island Club to enjoy music, food, and of course, the fireworks!

At 9:00 am on Tuesday, July 4, under beautiful blue skies, patriotic Seabrookers lined up to participate in the annual Independence Day Parade.

By 9:30 the parade was underway!

This year the parade lineup had a dry section and a wet section. The appearance of the Johns Island Fire Engine signaled the end of the dry section and the beginning of the water party. If the intersection at Capn Sams was any indication, there were some fierce battles all along the route!

After the parade, the fun continued at The Lake House with a jump castle and slide.

Special thanks to Nic Porter, Jamie Mixson, and the entire Lake House staff for their work on the Independence Day Parade, and the After Parade Family Fun Celebration. Thanks also to the Seabrook Island Club for hosting and the Town of Seabrook Island for sponsoring the wonderful fireworks display.
