SI Dragon Boat Team is Recruiting

Dragon Boat Charleston will once again host its Dragon Boat Festival on Saturday, May 4, 2024 , at Brittlebank Park, Charleston.


Dragon Boat Charleston hosts this annual festival each year to raise funds to support their efforts for cancer survivors and their supporters. For the fourth year the Seabrook Dragonslayers will have a team to participate in the festival.

We are looking for both men and women who would like to join our team. To find out more information and to register click here.

In the two weeks prior to the event you will be required to join two sessions that will provide training for the event. No prior skills required.

If you would like to support our team, you can choose to donate money directly to our team by clicking here and scrolling down to find the Seabrook Dragonslayers.

  • Heated Stretch – Tuesdays at 7:30 am beginning Tuesday, February 6. Due to the start time, this class is open to Property Owners and Club Members with afterhours access to the Lake House.

Indoor/Outdoor Pools

The outdoor pools are not heated.

The regular outdoor pool hours:
– Monday through Friday opens at 9:15 am following the conclusion of the water classes and closes 9:00 pm.
– Saturday and Sunday open from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm.

Please bring a towel with you. Pool towels are not provided. Amenity Cards are required to access The Lake House.

SIPOA Annual Meeting 2024

A quorum is essential to transact business at the SIPOA Annual Meeting. Nine hundred six (906) votes must be represented at the Annual Meeting, in person or by proxy, to constitute a quorum for the meeting. As of Feb 2, 2024, only 842 votes have been submitted.

All Proxy Appointment Forms must be received by SIPOA’s Secretary before 8:00 am on Saturday, February 17, 2024. Proxy forms received after 8:00 am on February 17, 2024, will not be valid.

Electronic Ballots were sent to the Property Owners primary email address on file from announcement@associationvoting.com, on Wednesday, January 17, 2024.

If not received, follow these steps:

  1. Visit vote.associationvoting.com/sipoa/
  2. Click Help at the top
  3. Enter your name and email
  4. Request Help
  5. Receive details from webmaster@associationvoting.com

Be sure to follow EACH step below to ensure your vote(s) are cast property.

  1. Visit vote.associationvoting.com/sipoa/
  2. Enter your login credentials provided in your voting email from announcement@associationvoting.com or webmaster@associationvoting.com.
  3. Proceed to the Proxy Appointment Form 
  4. Assign Proxy and Proceed to the Ballot page
  5. Mark your choices on the Ballot
  6. Click the Green button at the bottom of the Ballot page
  7. Confirm your choices on the next page

Reminder: Winter Mah Jongg Tournament Feb 29

Whether you are an experienced player or new to the game, Seabrook Island Village (SIV) invites you to their winter mah jongg tournament on Thursday, February 29 at The Seabrook Island Club.

From 10:00 am to 3:30 pm, partake in a continental breakfast, play three rounds of this popular game of tiles, feast on snacks and a luncheon buffet — forging new friendships with fellow mah jongg lovers while supporting SIV’s services provided by vetted volunteers helping members remain independent and active in our community.

Call Sue Coomer, SIV Events Chair at 843 901-0447 for an entry form or pick up a form at The Lake House. Registration deadline is Monday, February 12.

With a little skill and a pinch of luck, you could be one of our first, second or third place winners, but for sure, you will have a fun day building lasting relationships with others in our community.

Saturday, February 24, the Charleston Jazz Orchestra opens Season 16 with My Shining Hour, featuring guest star Manny Houston. The concert will channel Count Basie vibes that will transport you back to some of his most famous collaborations with artists such as Sammy Davis Jr., Frank Sinatra, Joe Williams, and more. There are two performances, one at 5:00 pm and the other at 8:00 pm at the Charleston Music Hall.
