The Kiawah Island Triathlon will take place Sunday, October 6, 2024, from 7:30 am until 12 noon. This is a USAT sanctioned intermediate distance competition featuring a .7-mile swim, 25.1-mile bike and 6.1-mile run. This race is currently the only intermediate distance triathlon in the Charleston SC area to feature an ocean swim.
The entire triathlon will take place within Kiawah Island Resort.
Traffic may be heavy on on Main Road, River Road and Betsy Kerrison from Friday, October 4 through Sunday, October 6 as a large number of participants, their family and friends, as well volunteers will be coming to the event. In addition, Freshfields may see many additional visitors.
