Nature-based solutions are becoming preferred infrastructure practices due to their ability to increase the resilience of both human and wildlife communities. The Kiawah Conservancy developed the “Nature-Based Solutions Manual for Kiawah Island” in 2023 which provides descriptions of viable practices within the Lowcountry. In this presentation, the Conservancy’s senior ecological health and conservation coordinator, Lee Bundrick, will discuss nature-based solutions and the benefits they provide for coastal resilience.
