Seabrook Organizations and Clubs: Photography Club

Join the Seabrook Island Photo Club!!

The Seabrook Island Photography Club is a friendly group of local people with an interest in photography. Seabrook Island is a “target rich environment” for capturing beautiful photos, and our club members love to capture great images both at home and around the world.

There are many different styles of photography and we offer programs to explore various disciplines. We regularly bring in external speakers for brief (one hour) programs, where our speakers inspire us with their beautiful images and teach us a few tips and tricks to help us emulate their results. While educational, these presentations are generally low key and not overly technical.

One common misconception about our club is that we are all “expert photographers” (whatever that means) with big heavy expensive cameras. In actuality, we have members with all ranges of equipment and experience and some of our members focus solely on cell phone photography!! A diverse range of backgrounds and photographic experiences provides great opportunities to learn from each other, which is one of our key club values. We love promoting our members’ great images at the Island House, Lake House, and on our website and social media.

We meet monthly on the third Thursday, from September through May. We meet at 6:30 pm  at the Lake House with refreshments, networking and then a speaker. Guests are welcome to attend their first meeting free of charge, so we hope we can see you in September!
