The Lost Voice chronicles Greta’s journey after a rare neurological disorder took away her singing voice, the very gift that defined her. In this deeply personal memoir and during her presentation, Greta invites us into her struggle to deal with universally human issues: What does “voice” mean to us, beyond the literal sense? How do we cope when a core part of our identity is stripped away? In what ways can creativity help us heal from loss?

Part meditation on creativity, part story of recovery, The Lost Voice explores how losing what you love most can open the door to new forms of strength, expression, and purpose. Join us to hear Greta reflect on her journey as an author. Toward the end of the program, there will be time to pose questions.
