Seabrook Island Village (SIV) is a non-profit organization staffed by vetted and trained volunteers. Services are offered with the goal of helping Seabrook residents remain independent and active in the community. Volunteers from Kiawah River Estates also serve members in their community in partnership with SIV. Individuals can become members either for a short time (90 days) or as an annual member.
Some services volunteers provide include:
- Basic home chores and maintenance such as replacing batteries in smoke detectors or overhead lights and moving garbage cans in and out
- Caregiver relief visits allowing caregivers to leave home for a short time
- Companionship visits boosting social contact for housebound members
- Reassuring phone calls providing members with daily well-being checks
- Transportation to medical appointments and pharmacy pickup
Committees and event volunteers add their talents to education, marketing and fundraising activities, program design, logistics, and publicity.

Complete the member application form on our website. A volunteer will meet with the person/family member to clarify the services needed and develop a plan.
