What a beautiful morning to welcome in the new year! The 9th Annual Polar Bear Plunge took place at North Beach on a sunny, balmy 47 degree day (real feel 43). By shortly after 10:00 am the parking lot was full to overflowing with cars. The enthusiastic, intrepid crowd gathered on the low tide beach to welcome in the new year with sand, surf and a warm bonfire!
As the photos convey, it was a terrific morning on the beach and a good time was had by all, including four-footed friends. Thanks to the Lake House staff for organizing this event and thanks to all who made the plunge or cheered them on! To see the photos, click below.

The turning of the calendar offers something quietly powerful: the chance to begin again. As we move into the year ahead, may we do so with hope for the future and with confidence that even small acts of caring can make a significant difference.
Wishing our friends and neighbors a happy, healthy new year filled with deep joy, meaningful moments, and endless possibilities.
