Join the Seabrook Island Photography Club (SIPC) for a special presentation by Count On 2 WCBD Meteorologist (and former Seabrook Island Beach Patrol member), Jed Christoph. Dwelling less on the specifics of shutter, aperture and ISO, Jed will focus on diving into the atmospheric science behind the shot.
Discover how to predict, utilize, (and sometimes) battle the elements to capture stunning imagery. The presentation will explore three distinct roles weather plays in our craft:
• The Subject: When the storm is the story.
• The Adversary: Overcoming the challenges nature throws at your lens.
• The Enhancer: Using weather conditions to elevate a landscape or other image from good to breathtaking.
Plus: Insights into Jed’s personal camera rigs, timelapse setups, and chasing the Milky Way. Jed will use his photos and videos from both the Lowcountry and his travels to demonstrate.
The weather is a very real part of our daily lives; Jed will help us learn to harness it in our images. This presentation will appeal to photographers of all skill levels. Please join us on March 19.
