Introduction to Alcohol Ink
Presented by Debbie Grogen
May 5, 2026
10:00 am – 4:00 pm
Oyster Catcher Community Center

If you ever thought it might be fun to experiment with alcohol ink, you’re not alone; 11 members of SIAG signed up for this workshop the day it was announced.
This introductory workshop provides all materials, so you can try this fun, “all the rage” medium without mortgaging the farm. Alcohol ink is often described as a medium of happy accidents, where you let go and see great things happen, so serendipity may be in your future.

There’s a good chance you’ll also pick up ideas for combining alcohol ink with other media (as long as you’re working on a non-porous surface-such as for watercolorists who use Yupo). Participants will produce two paintings, a landscape and a floral. The one day workshop is $100 for members. Non-members are welcome to participate and the cost is $150.

For questions, or to register for this art workshop, please contact Gary Kunkelman at garyk1@comcast.net. Mail or drop off a check made to the artist and dated for the first day of the workshop:
