Thanks to our Seabrook community, the Bootleggers Bash was a huge success! The Bash raised $60,000 for the Seabrook Island Employee Assistance Fund.
The Atlantic Ballroom was transformed into a roaring 1920s speakeasy on Thursday evening, May 14, 2026, as supporters gathered for the inaugural Bootleggers Bash, a high-energy fundraiser benefiting the Seabrook Island Employee Assistance Fund (EAF).
Guests arrived in full speakeasy style, many dressed in flapper dresses, pearls, tuxedos, suspenders, and fedoras, adding to the festive atmosphere. Throughout the evening, attendees enjoyed specialty cocktails, a spirited backroom-inspired menu by Chef Dan and Chef Christine, raffle drawings for fine wines and spirits, and a lively live auction featuring luxury travel experiences, artwork, dinners, and entertainment packages. The energy and buzz were ably managed by the always dapper Warren Peper serving as emcee and auctioneer.
Among the evening’s most memorable moments were show-stopping performances by vocalist & Seabrook employee Natalie Kelly, which brought the crowd to its feet and added a deeply personal and heartfelt touch to the celebration. Another Seabrook employee, Grace Vogt, contributed an original painting to the live auction, further highlighting the creativity and generosity found throughout the Seabrook community.
The event was made possible through the extraordinary generosity of sponsors and donors. “The true spirit of the evening was the generosity of this community,” organizers shared following the event. “Bootleggers Bash was not only an unforgettable evening of fun and fellowship, but a powerful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together to support its own.”
Funds raised during the event will directly support the Seabrook Island Employee Assistance Fund, which provides emergency assistance to eligible employees of the Seabrook Island Club and Seabrook Island Property Owners Association during times of hardship.
