Seabrook Island Village (SIV) is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping neighbors on Seabrook Island and Kiawah River Estates remain independent and continue living safely and comfortably in their own homes. Since 2019, SIV has been part of a growing national movement that empowers adults to lead active, engaged lives, while aging in place. We are working hard to increase the awareness of our services and ultimately help our neighbors remain safely in their own homes.

Seabrook Island Village provides a wide range of services, using trained and vetted neighborhood volunteers. We are Neighbors Helping Neighbors.
Services Provided
Transportation support for medical appointments, pharmacy visits, grocery shopping, trips to Freshfields and ACE Hardware, and rides to social or cultural events on Seabrook Island or Kiawah River Estates.
Basic home assistance includes replacing batteries, light bulbs, and air filters; moving light household items; using step ladders; unpacking groceries; and helping with simple computer, electronic, or TV remote questions.
Companionship visits provide social interaction and meaningful connections.
Caregiver relief visits give family caregivers time away from home.
Well-being check-in calls help ensure members’ safety and provide regular contact.

Workshops and Fund-Raising Events
In addition to providing services to our members, Seabrook Island Village offers informative workshops throughout the year for residents of Seabrook Island and Kiawah River Estates. Recent topics included navigating the use of artificial intelligence, getting financial affairs in order, and practical tips for safe movement. The St. Johns Fire Department will lead a workshop on October 5 covering its range of services, including emergency response tactics.
Our primary fundraising events are Mah Jongg Tournaments held each spring and fall at the Seabrook Island Club. The most recent event hosted a capacity crowd of nearly 90 players and raised funds to support SIV’s ongoing programs and services. The next one is October 30, 2026.
Individual donors contribute the majority of our operating funds. There is a donor page on our website (seabrookislandvillage.org). Alternatively, you can leave a phone message at 843-212-7181.
