On August 11, a Special Primary Election will be held after the death of the Republican Party nominee for U.S. Senate, Lindsey Graham.
Who’s eligible to vote?
Voters who participated in the Republican Primary or did not vote in either party’s June primary are eligible to vote. Voters who participated in the June Democratic Primary are not eligible to vote.
Important Dates

- Early voting: August 5-7. Click here for locations and times.
- Special Republican Primary: August 11
- Runoff (if necessary): August 25
Candidate filing closes July 28. After that date, you can find out who is running for office by checking your sample ballot at scvotes.gov.
In-Person Voting on Election Day
The polling precinct for Seabrook Island is the Lake House. It will be open from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm on August 11. Don’t forget to bring your photo ID.
