Upcoming Seabrook Island Natural History Group Events for September

The Fall 2026 SINHG Trips will be starting this September. If you missed out on signing up for these trips, there will be dozens offered in the Spring of 2027. You can join the Seabrook Island Natural History Group for only $16 per year. Membership includes six Evening Programs, the Ice Cream Social in the Fall and the Member Appreciation Night in the Spring. You will also have the opportunity to sign up for our wide ranging SINHG Trips where you can learn about the Lowcountry, gain new skills, sample culinary offerings, attend cultural and sporting events and best of all- get together with your neighbors.

The Fall 2026 trips will be starting this September and our first Evening Program: Taino BBQ: Fire, Smoke and the first Barbeque will be held on September 10.

Trace the roots of “barbacoa” from indigenous Taino techniques to modern American BBQ. Julian Gooding will highlight marinades, spice rubs, and slow cooking methods born from Native and African ingenuity.

  • Time: Doors open at 6:30 pm, allowing everyone to socialize. Light refreshments will be served. Program starts at 7:00 pm
