Kiawah Island Food Truck Fest May 16

The Town of Kiawah Island is excited to introduce TOKI Bites and Brews, a brand-new summer food truck festival series designed to bring the community together over great food and good company.

At Kiawah Island Town Hall (4475 Betsy Kerrison Pkwy), this food truck festival will transform the Town Hall green space into a lively gathering spot one Friday each month from April through August, 11 am to 2 pm. These events will feature a rotating selection of local food trucks offering various delicious options. 2025 Chow Town Food Truck Rodeo Schedule

The 2025 TOSI Chow Town Food Truck Rodeo series is just around the corner! The lineup of vendors scheduled for the summer can be found here.

St John’s Wednesday Farmers Market Reopens

St. John’s Wednesday Farmers Market is kicking off the new season on April 9

Now in its third year, this outdoor market will operate every Wednesday from 3:00 to 6:00 pm, April through October. Area vendors will provide beautiful and unique artisan items, food trucks, and fresh local fruits, vegetables, and flowers each week.

The market is in St. John’s Grove, behind the St. John’s Episcopal Church, at 3673 Maybank Highway, just off Bohicket Road (towards Rockville). There is ample parking and restrooms available for shoppers and vendors.

Reminder: Fields to Families Presents “Seed to Soup” March 28

Mark your calendars and plan to attend a fundraiser/education event to support
the non-profit Fields to Families’ Haut Gap Middle School student garden on Johns Island.

The event called Seed to Soup will take place Friday, March 28, 2025, at St. Johns High School from 5:00-7:00 pm. A donation of $30 will give you a keepsake ceramic bowl glazed by Haut Gap and St. Johns art students and a tasting of soups and breads to enjoy all created by culinary students from St. Johns High and more than twelve local island restaurants.

The Seed to Soup event provides an opportunity to learn more about Fields to Families, its mission, and its volunteer opportunities. Purchase your tickets and learn more about this event here.

Dining for Third Serve Foundation April 1

Join us on Tuesday, April 1 at FortyEight – Wine Bar & Kitchen with friends and family to help raise funds for Third Serve Foundation. Fifty percent of food revenues generated that evening will be given to Third Serve to assist with their mission to enrich the lives of students through tennis.

Third Serve Foundation is a non-profit, 501 (c)(3) youth tennis organization enriching local students’ lives through tennis by providing fundamental training and educational resources for learning the game.

BBQ, Bluegrass & Bourbon – Saturday, March 22: 3:00-6:00 pm

Join Freshfields Village and Garden & Gun to celebrate three southern staples – barbecue, Bluegrass and bourbon, with a live music and culinary event held on the Village Green. Enjoy food truck fare, bourbon cocktails and sampling, and exceptional Bluegrass music while exploring Freshfields Village.

Lowcountry Oyster Festival February 2

The Lowcountry Oyster Festival returns on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at Boone Hall Plantation (1235 Long Point Road, Mount Pleasant, SC).

Highlights of this event include the legendary oyster shucking and oyster eating contests, beer, wine, cocktails, and food options from local restaurants and food trucks.

The Lowcountry Oyster Festival is a charity fundraiser that has donated $1,500,000 over forty years. The 2024 festival donated $106,000 to local causes.
