New Maestro Ken Lam will lead the Charleston Symphony Orchestra in a Masterworks styled concert with 60 fine musicians and a basson soloist. Come to East Beach Conference Center on Sunday, November 8 at 6:00 pm to hear Charleston’s excellent orchestra play this free concert which requires no tickets. The exciting program includes 2 selections by Ravel, a concerto by Mozart for bassoon and orchestra, the “Overture to Romeo and Juliet” by Tchaikovsky, and the “Overture to the Wasps” by Ralph Vaughan Williams. This will be a grand event that you won’t want to miss. Though the CSO’s season opening concerts at the new Gaillard Auditorium downtown will be performed on the previous two evenings, Nov. 6 and 7, this concert at East Beach Center will be an entirely unique and different concert just for Kiawah.

Ken Lam begins his first season as the CSO’s Maestro this season, and this will be one of his first performances with them. Don’t miss it! It’s being held indoors for the first time here on Kiawah to prevent any issues with the weather. We promise you will be dry, warm, and comfortable!
