Brown and White Pickup Friday, March 4th; Repeated Warning on Improper Dumping

This Friday, March 4, is an opportunity to take advantage of the now monthly “brown and white” pick-up day.

“Brown” items that can be left at your curbside (wherever you would normally leave your recycling) are furniture, appliances, grills, lawn furniture or other similar household items.

“White” items such as old paint cans, electronics, or old yard or household chemicals can be dropped off at the Maintenance area adjacent to the Community Garden this Friday morning.

Please Note!—The Maintenance Area adjacent to the Community Garden continues to be used as an improper dumping ground by the few people who refuse to follow proper disposal rules. It would be a shame if it resulted in fining residents who abuse this privilege or, worse yet, for the rest of us to lose the convenience of this facility to get this to stop.

Please use the opportunities we have to keep Seabrook beautiful, and thanks to all those who help us do so.

One Response to Brown and White Pickup Friday, March 4th; Repeated Warning on Improper Dumping

  1. Warren Redman-Gress says:

People should also remember that items left out for the brown and white pickup have to be easily visible as the truck passes by. They often miss items laying flat on the ground–as has often happened on our street.
