Parkinson’s Support Being Formed – First Meeting April 28th

A Parkinson’s Support Group is being established for individuals who have been diagnosed with PD and for their associated partner and/or caregiver. There is no restriction on who may attend, although our main focus is people from Johns Island, Kiawah, Seabrook and Wadmalaw.

Meetings will most likely be once a month and should last between one and two hours. The location for the meetings will be The Church of Our Saviour. Our initial informational meeting date is scheduled for the 28th of April at 2:00 pm (NOT YET CONFIRMED.) The format for our meetings is intended to be informal so that we may share with each other. From time to time we may have a guest speaker depending on the interest of the group.

It is our intent to insure confidentiality and that all communication (by whatever means) will protect your privacy. No one should feel pressured to share any information during the meetings.

It is our intent to publish the time and dates of future meetings in our local publications as well as through established PD support groups and the Parkinson’s Association. If you would like further information and or have an interest in the group please contact Floyd DeAndrade, or call him at 843 768-1089.
