Seabrook Island Turtle Patrol Celebrates World Turtle Day

World Turtle Day 2016 is May 23rd. In order to allow maximum participation,  the South Carolina Aquarium celebrated the event on Saturday, May 21st with several turtle related activities and exhibits.

The Seabrook Island Turtle Patrol was well represented with a booth manned by three of our Turtle Patrol’s most knowledgeable and enthusiastic members, Anne Snelgrove, Melanie Jerome and Lori Porwoll.  As the Aquarium’s theme states “We hope you’re World Turtle Dayturtlely excited for World Turtle Day – we turtlely are.”

The purpose of the Seabrook Island Turtle Patrol is to protect and preserve the sea turtles that visit our beach. To learn more about the Turtle Patrol, please visit our web site at http://www.siturtlepatrol.com/
