Does anyone have any comments or minutes about why the Oyster Catcher Pool is on the agenda for discussion for this Monday , 7 Nov2016 at 1:00 at the Lake House ?
Personally, we don’t want to lose this gem for the following reasons: enjoying a refreshing dip after coming from the beach; a deeded property owner right for use by SIPOA property owners and their accompanied guests( many of whom are not club members); enjoyed by many persons who cannot handle the large crowds at the Lakehouse pool and Club pools during the summer; for the many owners and disabled guests who find it a refuge to wait for their families who are enjoying the beach; for proximity to the very necessary real flush toilets enjoyed by everyone including volunteers, guests and all workers on the SIPOA; the side benefit of warm water plumbing to wash off equipment ,humans, and pets at the various shower stations; and most importantly – the ridiculously cheap maintenance costs (which in the past years have worked out to no more than $15 per year per annum per property) to keep the pool itself going.
I plan to be at the meeting to find out.
You read our minds – please see the post about it.
Can Tidelines please post updates on the status of the phone being fixed so that the Oyster Catcher pool can be reopened? 4th of July Crowds are fast approaching and property owners want the option of using this pool.
Is it true that the “maintenance issue” is an inoperative emergency landline and has nothing to do with the pool function itself? If this is the case, what is taking so long?
How long will our pool be closed? Do this repair quickly as many of us old timers use it every day. It is only for property owners and its a gem.
