Calls are being received that claim that ‘your’ Windows license has expired. At this time, and with possible exceptions of some enterprise and/or academic licenses, Windows licenses do not expire.
Windows will stop supporting older versions of Windows after several years. However, your are free to keep that Windows on your machine–the license has not expired.
Please do not fall for this scam.
Also, I recommend reporting the caller to the FCC. This is easily done by searching for “FCC Complaint”. You will be taken to a government site and an on-line form will be displayed. This form will ask for information about the caller, and you. Please record the caller id information and if the message asks you to call another number, record that as well. These will requested in the form.
