Respite Care Charleston is pleased to offer a WINE and CHEESE reception, hosted by Seabrookers Barbara and Charles Measter, followed by a talk, Dementia vs. Normal Aging: Which Is It, presented by Dr. John Kleckley. The talk will be followed by a time for questions.

Dr Kleckley pic.jpgDr. Kleckley is a native South Carolinian and grew up in both Mount Pleasant and Columbia. He earned a degree in history from Washington and Lee University and graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency at the Hospital of Saint Raphael/Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, and a fellowship in Geriatrics at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. He has a private practice in Mount Pleasant, is a medical director of two skilled nursing facilities, and is a hospice medical director. He lives in Mount Pleasant with his wife Elle, son Jack, and daughter Gardner.

Respite Care Charleston (RCC) is a 501 C3 organization that provides social day programs for individuals with Alzheimer’s and other related dementias, as well as support groups for caregivers. RCC was the recipient of The Alan Fleming Tennis Tournament’s fundraising initiative in 2015 and is honored to be the recipient again in 2016.
