Subject: North Korea: A Major Challenge for the United States
Speaker: Scott Snyder, Senior Fellow for Korea Studies at the Council on Foreign Relations in Washington, D.C.
Description: Today North Korea is at the top of issues that challenge the U.S. and it will remain so for the foreseeable future. Mr. Snyder is one the nation’s leading experts on North Korea. He previously founded and directed the center for U.S.-Korea policy at the Asia Foundation and served as the Foundation’s representative in Korea for a number of years. He is the author of numerous books and published studies of North Korean policy. He is a graduate of Rice University, received his MA from Harvard and was a Thomas Watson fellow at Yonksei University in South Korea.
