The Presidential Election is Tuesday, November 8, 2016. For Seabrook Island residents the polling location is the Lake House. The polls will open at 7:00 AM and close at 7:00 PM – everybody in line at 7:00 PM will be allowed to vote.

In order to vote on the voting machine, you must be registered to vote in the Seabrook precinct. You can confirm your registration by going to www.scvotes.org, click on voters and then click on check your voter registration.

If you are not registered in Seabrook, you should vote in the precinct in which you are registered.  Otherwise you may vote a Fail-Safe paper ballot.  For information on Fail-Safe voting go to http://www.state.sc.us/scsec/fail-safe.htm

In addition, you must have one of five forms of identification. These include: S.C. drivers license; 2) S.C. Department of Motor Vehicles ID card; 3) S.C. voter registration card with photograph; 4) Federal military ID card with photograph; and 5) U.S. passport. If you do not present one of these forms of identification, you may vote a Provisional Ballot.  For information on Provisional Ballot, go to http://vote.charlestoncounty.org/  and click on the tab that says Provisional Ballot.

To vote either a Fail-Safe or Provisional Ballot, you must appear at Charleston County Election Headquarters following the election to certify your identification and/or residence.

Election results for the Seabrook precinct will be posted on the Lake House front window about 7:30 PM on Tuesday
